it's pretty much a moot point for me since I'm a registered independent so I can't vote in primaries. orginally I was all about dean but now I'm wondering if it's because of what actually believes or if it's just because he was going after bush's jugular.

i like that dean publicly spoke out about the iraqi war. but he seems stiff as a board.

I would expect you could vote in the UK, since you are still a citizen, living elsewhere shouldnt effect it...

I think where you live does effect it, seeing as they need to have your address for your polling card.

Well, having read through his platform I agree with almost everything he stands for. I mean the guy is completely anti-WTO which scores major points in my book. He is also vegan which is a nice bonus.

are you trying to pin a politician down for their voting record? That is like trying to ask a horse for directions, all youre going to get is a long stare, and lots of grunts as responses to questions.

yeah because there's a better way to tell the difference between what someone says they believe and how they put those beliefs in action?

heh, the only thing they believe in is how much they want to get into the office they run for. If you ever believe the things coming out of a politicians mouth, you need help.

what a useless cynical comment. if that's the case, then you need to change your sig.

can you think of a single elected official who is a member of the Communist Party USA? I can't, the reason why is that there arent any. Further, I fell I should say that there is a difference between grass roots political organizations, as opposed to the established ones. When you are at a grass roots level, you are involved because you do believe in it. However once you are established, people start to take notice and take advantage of it. Think of it like winning the lottery, people you havent heard from in years suddenly become your best friend... does my point make sense?

regardless what makes you think you can trust any of them, since they are also politicians trying to gain political strength?

because they dont have as much to lose. If they were on top, they would do what they felt necessary, to keep themselves where they are. However, while on the bottom, they dont have much to lose, so they can rally behind their beliefs.

so when you're trying to increase support you're less likely to pander than you are when you already have it? how does that make any sense?
