ok now that we (the americans) captured saddam, how does everyone here feel?
it won't effect the attacks, cos saddam didn't control them at all. I have a strange feeling, they caught him earlier, but the situation got worse, so they claim they have the evil, and try to show it a s a great victory..

Well for one thing I don't think it justifies the actions taken (the war). I also don't think it will effect the attacks that have been happening because the thing that most people are forgetting is that the militant Islam groups hated both the US and Saddam. Their actions were never about re-installing Saddam, they want Iraq to become a fundamentalist Islamic state.
The worst thing that will come out of all this is the American and British administrations will be being so smug over this and will feel vindicated.

yeah, but sunni's who would most likely be the ones charge haven't been the ones for hte most part running the restiance.
that aside, I agree with you. I won't change a thing. people will still die. WMD will still not be found. The french will still be smug.

first off... saddam hussein's capture really isn't worthy of the round the clock new that it has been receiving. he obviously hasn't been doing anything to direct the resistance to american occupation. i think anyone who thought he could return to power over there was foolish, and the attacks on our troops will continue until we pull out of there.
don't get me wrong... saddam is a murderous dictator who has killed thousands(but then again so has our government).
i'm disappointed that this is such a chest thumping victory dance for the republicans. hell, i'm surprised they didn't just hold onto him until closer to election day and then announce they found him.

ok before i go off about my feelings about Iraq, i must say i am a little glad that we captured such an evil person, but SERIOUSLY, we didnt have ANY reason to be in Iraq, it was the job of the UN and Amnesty International to solve the problem. the war was just Bush trying to live up to his father.
