If you would ideally like to vote for Ralph Nader in the upcoming election, but are afraid a vote for Nader will hurt John Kerry's chances for presidency, there is something you can do. Go to www.votepair.org (http://www.votepair.org). It's a safe way to organize people who say "I'll vote for Nader if you vote for Kerry." They will match people who will vote for Kerry in a swing state with people who will vote for Nader in a non-swing state. That way, Nader will have an increased popular vote without jeopardizing Kerry's chances for office. It's a win-win situation. Do it.

that's not a bad idea.

but i actually like kerry... they say i live in a bush state (NC), but i think when the post debate dust settles it'll be a fairly close state... so i'm definitely voting kerry.

you may want to change your signature since it seems you'd rather let the day pass you by than actually seize it.

I'm just saying, if you don't trust or like the government you live under, why would you stay? it's not like it's something you can avoid and doesn't directly effect your life.

if you think the people in your government and the people running are lying to you, then how do you like the government? and by doing nothing, how are you free from fault? We're a representative democracy. how is it not your fault if you don't take part in it?

what does that have to do with what's going on now? or what would happen with someone else in power?

cause it just shows that people just say what you want to hear and change their minds anyway.

so why not move to place where that isn't the case? if you have no faith in the people representing you, then why let them represent you?

i represent me, not them. just because i dont vote, doesnt mean that i hate living here.

no you don't. you don't make laws for yourself. decide how your tax dollars are spent. make decisions that impact your life .

and it should mean you hate living here if you have no faith in your government since it's the one thing you can't avoid.

Which is worse. hypocrisy or being a liar? Personally I can't stand either.

Sabresnmets.

If you can't stand the government lying to you and you complain about it as passionately as you have in this thread, but then say you wont take any part in correcting your ignorance or finding a solution to the problem you have, I find that extreamly hypocritical.
With the amount of energy wasted by arguing with people here you could have searched the internet for just about anything on anyone of the politicians that you think is lying to you.

ok i wasnt arguing, i just said i wasnt gonna vote, and people started commenting. i have run into so many people that are gonna vote for such bullshit reasons. they just want to vote cause everyone else is. i do care and all of these people trying to tell me how dumb i am really makes me want to go out and vote, but i have so much shit going on, i honestly dont have the time to educate myself on the matter.
