Tofurky is a line of fake meat made from tofu, but tastes like turkey. they have a scary one that looks like a whole turkey, drumsticks skin et all for like thanksgiving and Xmas. Seems to be pretty big here in the US, but back in the Uk it's all about the nut loaf!!!

*shudders* man that stuff is disgusting. my mom bought it for my sisters and I last year and I gagged. I don't know if was just that brand or what.

Reading through it now I will have to substitute a few things to make it vegan.. Have a few ideas but you got any as well?

There are quite a few different nut loaf recipies, this is just the one I have. There should be a few vegan ones, I'll have a look around.

I would think you could find something to substitute the egg since it's really just there as a binder, and the ricota is for a filling btween layers, so you could probably mix up just about anything to put in there?

yeah I was thinking the same thing... For the egg it might be a little weird but I was thinking a very small portion of Mollasses, and for the cheese, maybe some more of the nut butter pureed with some veggies or spices... Donno will have to experiment

Nut Butter would be perfect! If you couls come up with a thick sage sause or spread of some kind, I would imagine that could be quite good?
