why do you think that people with little or no political experience would be able to run the country? Also, does having a platform alone make you capable of dealing with the pressures of political office espeically in light of the first question?

I think people with no political experience could run the country cuz those that do can't get much worse. Besides, they might bring a new perspective to the position. What was that movie? Kevin Kline... uh... Dave? I think that was it. Cute movie.

Business, I like someone who has an understanding of numbers. My problem with Bush (I'm canadian by the way so not like it really matters) is that he's screwed you guys into another what 80 billion dollars of debt? He has no sense whatsoever of how to control money. Someone who's run companies, with the ability to save and control without drastic cuts would be ideal. I like Chavez honestly, that guy is a genius. Props to him for winning the recall that was sponsored by your country because of the tariffs he put on the oil exports to start programs for those in poverty.

companies aren't run like the government though. Taxes aren't the same as profits. There's no product to sell. Look at bloomberg and nyc. He had a horrible time because he thought government was like business and it's not. and you don't think people who run companies don't make drastic cuts? Companies cut far deeper than government does because government has guaranteed funds.
