anyone have an x box?

i told my wife to go buy herself something for her birthday. she comes back with an x box (i love this woman).

anyway...anyone have one? recommend some games to me, even if they are really old. i always wanted to play GTA vice city...so i may pick that up. other than that i have no idea what games are crucial.

all depends on what kind of game youre looking for, espn football just came out and is super popular and only like 20 bucks. if you like GTA type stuff check out true crime. halo 2 is highly anticipated and comming out this november. the reason why xbox is getting to be somewhat cheap is because its about to become obsoluete(sp) xbox2 should be out soon. im not sure on the actual release date.

i wouldn't doubt it actually, thats why halo 2 was held for so long, they were trying to decide weather or not to put out for the xbox2 or not. since they did put it out for xbox im guessing they're holding off for the release of xbox2

that release will depend so much on the market though so anything you hear now will only ever be a rumour. the xbox market seems to be doing very well and not looking like its drying up anytime soon. Waiting for the ps3 will probably be an option but its still doing well as the oldest of this generation of platforms. The G3 in europe however is not doing so hot, but thats not based on facts just a consumer perception.

halo 2 was also held off because of doom and half life 2 being released.

xbox is getting killed in japan and isn't doing that hot in the US or europe. They're losing so much money on the hardware sales that they're hoping to make it up with everything else. It's also part of the reason why stuff like x box costs money and is going up because the licensing money from software just isn't paying the bills.

Everyone here seems to have them though, nintendo might not be doing as bad on ratio here but they seem to have taken a back seat.

i read an article about doom 3 in either newsweek or time...i'm pretty excited to see that. i'm not an avid gamer by any means, but this even had me geeked.
