    Vegan junk food

Last night, my friend and I had vegan chili cheese dogs:

smart dogs, amy's chili, assorted seasonings, daiya cheese mixed with a little soymilk.

Today, we made vegan sloppy joes:

boca crumbles, generic sloppy joe mix, assorted hot sauces and seasonings, french fries, and veganese/ketchup sauce.

That looks way too yummy, me want.. So I guess it was tasty ?
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Yummy Linsee! I wished you lived here so we can make vegan goodies together.

I just had a conversation with my coach today about vegan junk food. I was telling him that I am always struggling to eat healthy and he was very confused by this statement. "You're vegan aren't you?" Yup, but that doesn't mean I live off of salads and beans. :)

Vegan food looks yummier than 'normal' food.

I know! we'd have lots of fun.

That's a hard thing for a lot of people to understand, or realize that just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's healthy. My friend's dad calls our vegan chocolate chip cookies diet cookies, heh. I picked up some cake slices at Whole Foods that are from the Chicago Diner, which are vegan but taste like sugary butter. Definitely not healthy.

I'm trying to be a healthier vegetarian (working on the vegan thing). It's hard sometimes!

I have been eating wayyyy healthier since getting back to NYC (Eugene has wayyyyy too much amazing cheap vegan junk food including a 24 hour vegan donut shop!). I have been eating at my job around twice a day so most of my diet looks like this:

Gotta love the perks of working at a restaurant!
It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It’s us. Only us.
