It's a point of debate. Some sxe people don't see the negative side effects of caffeine as being severe enough to cut it out of their diet. When I first became edge, I wouldn't even eat chocolate because I didn't want any traces of caffeine in my body. I've since then let that go and indulge in some vegan chocolate occasionally. Everyone has to have some vice, right?

Kombucha basically has the same alcohol content as bread or orange juice.

depends on who's making it and how. it does however have the same caffeine content as black tea since that's basically what it is.

I don't see caffeine as bad to some extent, a couple years ago I accidentally overdosed on caffeine, that was bad, but even when that happened I still had control over myself, I still knew what was going on. I won't make that mistake again but I don't see any problem with having a soda with caffeine in it.

No, because I know they're, literally, filled with poisons.

only if you smoke enough of them. smoking a single one every once in a while has no negative effect and doesn't make anyone lose control. Same can also be said for a single beer or a single glass of wine. etc.

The only difference is that society says that it's ok to use caffeine but it's no ok to use the others.

Actually alot of society says alcohol is ok, as well as (some) drugs and I've even had some people tell me tobacco is ok. I personally don't see anything wrong with caffeine. Straight edge for me is simply no tabacco, no alcohol, no drugs.

If the other stuff isn't abused, why are they bad? I'm not trying to argue with you, just asking you to honestly take a look at what you think and why.

I had a student yesterday come into my classroom sweating and all sorts of jumpy. This was not an act, he seriously had drank 2 Red Bulls for breakfast (the kid is 11 years old). When the nurse called to have him taken home, the mother said, "He was just so tired because he stayed up watching his little sister while I was at bingo. I didn't think it would hurt him." The mother was promptly lectured on the affects of caffeine on the central nervous system.

It's a gray area and you just decide for yourself.

There's no straight edge handbook so nobody else has a better grasp on it than you.
