What kind of plate was it
I have a set of plates at my house and the edge of one is chipped. It looks like the rest, but when you hold it you can get scratched

It was a really nice looking big white round one. And I have the same problem. It scratches my hand when I hold it !!! Maybe we could start a refuge for damaged plates.....they get to live out their days in peace and tranquility there !!!
