Someone else wants to do it its up to them.
However, when sleeping around is concerned there isn't just one person involved. If the actions of one hurt someone else without the hurt being the will of the receiving party, then surely the action is wrong? Everyone has the right to self expression and freedom of choice (so far as the insanely strict laws in place will allow, see part 5 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act, Britain) but when this comes in direct conflict and violation of another persons happiness and well being then surely its morally wrong?
So, you're basically saying that sleeping around while in a committed relationship is wrong. I agree with that. I don't agree that "sleeping around" while you're not in a serious relationship is somehow wrong, though.

Yeah thats your choice, i just dont like the thought of having meaningless, casual sex. As there is the point of spreading std's and in most of these 'no string' situations someone most always ends up getting hurt. I just like to have sex within a relationship where it means something to both people involved.

But whatever anyones views are on the subject, remember safe sex is the best sex

I am in staunch opposition to the gender binary system and the current hetero-normative society that exists throughout the world today.
    Same here.

I am profoundly opposed to gender roles in society. All they do is oppress people. I see no value in insisting that men and women conform to their roles. It just means they have to struggle to alter themselves to suit society's expectations, when they could be spending their mental energy elsewhere.

This is exactly my point in this regard. Its virtual impossible to have a "no strings" situation. Someone gets hurt.

That quote is probably the best way to describe my opinions of feminism, I am a feminist because as a female drummer within a male dominated music scene I have to stick up for my rights. Already I have been denied the opportunity to play music once because of the fact that I am female and I am 16, that is the epitome of oppression. Who cares that I am a bit rougher, don't care about sex and anyone else's personal opinions, I am pretty sure I can match it on the drumkit with most guys and play just as hard (if not harder) as they can.

Down with restrictive thinking, Up with equality

    P.S. Sorry to ramble lol

I know exactly what you mean, (not for my self obviously I being born on the privileged end of the stick that is the double standard) but friends of mine who are trying to get anywhere in music seem to always be put down, as though there just naturally not capable, but this complete bull. The idea stands in them that only guys can be "hardcore", and that's such crap. and from a sub-culture like hardcore and straight edge that evolved from punk, its completely hypocritical.
Its just the same in gaming too, on the likes of world of warcraft, call of duty, counter strike, the idea is that only guys can play and girls are a novelty unable to keep up.

P.S No need to apologise if its a decent ramble:)

i just know that i hate it when males think that they are 'superior' to females.
men that act all tough about how they think women should be treated and how they tread their own wives... it makes me sad and angry.
    we are all equal
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

ha thanks a lot, actually at school they are introducing pant's for girls in winter and my math teacher asked today 'who would wear them' and myself and some other girls in my class (who put personal image second) raised our hands and on the other side of the classroom after he said that and we raised our hands, I saw a guy whisper to his mates that 'all the tomboys put their hands up.' That was just today, there is still that mentality that girls should wear dresses and speak when spoken to. Pants in winter are a practical option, as soon as I hit high school I stopped playing sport at lunch because of skirts and many girls go through so many pairs of stockings in winter due to tearing.
Also a teacher last term called me 'Butch' and when in passing I mentioned it to my mother she was furious. She called the school and needless to say, I got a humble apology and he did some arse kissing lol!

Well... I'm not sure if I'm feminist (haven't given any thoughts about it) but I sure am ANTI-SEXIST!

    BTW you're a cute girl, so I'm a 100% feminist with you! :D

    so anti-sexist :-)
Take the time. Don't be blind. You will find. An open mind. There's no need for you to tell me what I've done wrong. I can, can see, all this contradiction around me. I just, just want, I want to be free. Don't question my actions. I never said that I was flawless

Haha thankyou for your compliment Veskou, you did contradict yourself a bit though considering we are talking about feminism here but I suppose it depends upon your definition of cute lol. But I just thought I would point out some of the stuff I hear on a daily basis, I am not trying to rant it just annoys me that everyone has to fit into the images of mainstream society and what is presented in the media. And obviously I am not about that, which I am sure most of you have figured. Haha!

As long as they know what equal rights truly is, I stand with it. Since the beginning of it all, there have always been equal rights standers who are never satisfied, so far into it that it simply becomes uneven into the other side of the scale. One of these would be black-only scholarships. To me, this is a load of bull. There is absolutely nothing I can do to make myself black, nor does it apply to my financial situation in any way, so it's basically just a giant middle finger. Is it about my ancestors? So sorry I didn't go back in time to change their actions. A white scholarship would be racist and the removal of black scholarships would be considered a barricade to their "movement." Of course, this is just ONE example of equal rights being taken too far. Equal rights is fine, but its adherents need to remember the key word: equal.

As for sex, I choose to live abstinent up until marriage for the person whom I believe I truly love. It really doesn't get any closer between two people than intercourse, so I believe you should save it for the one you're truly passionate about. You can say, "Hey, I love you so much, it's all for you." Not, "I've been with two other girls, fuck me." (Sorry if I was a bit overly brutal with that)

Anyway, this post contains what I believe, not what's right and wrong, so take it as is.

Isn't the reason for these scolarships to bring more diversity into an already white dominated area of education/employment? Aren't white people still elligable to scollarships? But there remains a lack of other ethnicities so they try to make an equal balance and enable more black people to give a good start in life for the next generation of black people? Is that not the idea behind them?

As for the sex thing, don't you think a healthy and compatible sex life is an important part of a relationship? Just seems to me like waiting until after you are married is leaving it a bit late if you find you really aren't compatible in that area. I mean i understand the sentiment i just think its a risky to not find out how well you work together in all main relationship aspects before making a commitment like that.
