The area looks like a million and one other places, when i go to other places in the UK driving round the suburbs make me feel like i'm still in my own town but its just slightly different.
Photography is great, i have loved it since i was little but haven't managed to do much over the past year or so. I am currently trying to get some stuff on the go. It can be expensive though, theres a bunch of stuff i want but the equipment isn't necessary at all. The best stuff i've seen has been done with simple no frills equipment, like a regular point and shoot camera, its just about having a good eye and a good idea really.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
A woman I work with has been into photography for a few years now, she always just had a pretty cheap digital camera but she has now gone out and bought a Canon DSR which was about £400, then she bought a lens which was close enough to £300 I believe. So you can make it an expensive hobby. I believe this is lower end equipment she has also, the high end stuff is in the thousands. I wouldn't deem that necessary unless you were making money from the pictures you were taking.
I'll see hwo things pan out around summer time and it's something I might look into taking up as a small hobby.

I use canon DSLR's too, i use mid range stuff generally. Would love to get high end stuff but stuff in the 30,40 or 50d range works fine and hasn't limited me yet. The big expense is lenses, luckily being thrifty made my photography more creative instead of skint.
