it's just a pic from a flyer and most flyer artwork is taken from other flyers and shit like that.. It's not like I took someones logo they spent weeks on for my own... Besides none of those bands are around to get permission nor could I see any of them having any objection.

Like the banner you see in the site header for hosting every so often.. don't you think that circle was just taken from somewhere else and altered a bit to fit there needs.. I mean you see that circle on a billion web hosts. I highly doubt they were the first web host to ever use it.

yeah, and most hardcore or most sites on the net for that matter use clipart from elsewhere. If the artist wrote me with an objection and asked me to remove it.

Your forgetting this is hardcore, not big corp america, I couldn't see any artist that gives a shit about our scene caring, atleast not east coast kids for that matter.

clipart is created expressly for the use of others. the point is that if you can't find the original artist to ask for the permission then you probably shouldn't. especially since it's essentially calvin anyway.

there are so many people that would create original stuff for you to use if you'd just ask and it'd be something unique and different rather than a retread.
