inglorious basterds. it's a great movie.
Since I was gone for a month this summer, Hubby and I aimed to catch up on the summer films that we missed seeing together at the $1 theater:
District 9
500 Days of Summer
Inglorious Bastards
Star Trek
Up (second tme)
Transformers
Terminator Salvation (second time)
Bonnie and Clyde (I had it on my Netflix queue FOR-EV-ER)
I didn't like it at first, but the more I think about it, the more I think the writers were very clever with the character development and the twist in the protagonist/antagonist dynamic.
just came home from Inglorious Basterds.. stunning !
go check out Amreeka if you can. Good indie-ish film that is out now, saw it last night.
Hard boiled, even though its an older film.Just amazing action film from the 80's.
three kings is a really good movie
the whole time i was just envisioning David O russell beating people up though
I saw Halloween 2 a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it was great visually, but just okay as a movie.
i just saw an anime, that counts, right?
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and it was awesome
hurt locker wasn't too bad.
500 Days of Summer -- excellent
Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf
MASH
Cabaret
Fridays have been my and Hubby's date night/veg out night lately, obviously. Ha-ha!
I thought Jennifers Body was awesome! And the soundtrack is even better!
Saw the sneak peek of "Whip It" and got a t-shirt to boot!
Star Trek wasn't bad.
wow, i really liked district 9.. good scifi..
Contact
very good one (except for the cheesy looks of Vega)
oh I also loved Event Horizon.
Freakin' "The Princess Bride" was at Midnight Movie Madness last night. AWESOME!!!
i saw Zombieland this weekend really funny.
also saw Pandorum, and thought it totally sucked
Public Enemies, not soooooo good, but Depp is ok.
district 9 is really good
but Donnie Darko is my all time favorite
my other favorites include Napoleon Dynamite, Requiem for a Dream, Kingdom of Heaven, Braveheart, and lots
G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra was full of mind blowing special effects. I loved the part where Duke and his partner ran across the Paris in those speed-up suits. I also noticed a lot of similarities with Star Wars but in general the movie was average. Nevertheless, I can't say it's bad, it's pretty good.
I have to say, we were sitting way to close to the big screen, maybe that played a role. The 'room' (what's the right word for that ?) only had like 5 rows of chairs and we were sitting on the row most distant of the screen. The movie was indeed kinda long but that didn't bother me. Maybe the way how it was put on tape, and maybe because the story was kinda empty but I'm not sure why I found it not that good..
I saw Inglorious Basterds a while ago and LOVED it. Tarantino is one of my favorite directors though so that makes sense. I saw Zombieland and was extremely surprised I wasn't expecting much other than Emma Stone, I got her AND loads more it was a great experience!
