it's interesting but I'm waiting for the day where they officially say that the story in genesis is just mythology and not real.

i uused to go to a catholic school. the taught us the creation theory and darwins theory at the same time. it got rather confusing when i believed in a god.

The part I find funny is that now all of these catholics who have so fundamentally and blindly opposed evolution will now blindly accept it simply because the church has accepted it.

the catholic church is a magical place that can literally shape the reality of their followers. it's actually really awesome when you think about it.

if you believe 50/50, does that means you go to a half-heaven? or a half-hell?

if its the right half of a dinosaur, that could be the reason they got extinct... i doubt they could stand up just with one side of their legs

pergatory

that would suck, i mean for a christian to believe only to end up there

Check out the movie Bloodline.

Super interesting documentary of this british film maker researching the questions that the fiction novel the DaVinci Code raised. Worth watching for sure.

well, in that case, it doesnt suck as much, though, if i ever chose to be christian i would be, you know, one of those hardcore christian and shit, fuck science, im blind and see no reason and god is the cause of everything and all that... cause if i'm gonna believe some magic stuff, i better believe it completely if it gets me to heaven

It's not really like church, because the catholic church from my understanding views purgatory as a place where one is purified through fire to pay for their unforgiven sins, or something to that extent.

all they tol me is that you repent, but never explained in detail, so i always kinda though of a long line of people waiting to sit in the little booth and be forgivin. whats all this about fire?

While Wikipedia can't be treated as an extremely reliable resource, as its a user-edited encyclopedia, check out this link to at least get a vague idea in more basic terms than straight biblical verses:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purgatory

Check out the sources it cites as well for further information.
