i know you have them.

those songs that you should hate. but you just can't. the ones that you'd probably never admit to half heartedly enjoying.

ever since i got directv...and the fuse channel(formerly much music) i have quite a few of the shameful songs.

like:

'swing, swing, swing' by the all american rejects
'we've had enough' by the alkeline trio

perhaps the hardest to admit:

that newish dashboard confessional song, that closes with the .."and you meant it" line.

i'll never turn off 'in da club' either.

anyone else like to air their dirty laundry?

dude. dashboard confessional is the enemy.

the alkaline trio song, however is tight and is currently playing inside my head. the video is just brilliant, but i swear they really want to be the misfits.

WTF? Whats up with all this 182 talk? Don't spend your money on that shit.....go spend your well earned cash on a prostitute or something to that nature.

most of that pop punk, and those posers(edit) that die their hair black to look "emo" make me want to vomit. i love reall, true emo, like Heroin and Iscariote, but bands like thrice and funeral for a friend want to make me laugh

Ok i see what you are saying but was the "fags" bit necessary? Is there some homophobia or is it just habbit?

Its curious to me why anyone would pick up that habit in the first place, is it plain laziness? I mean its generally are subconcious that lets these ideas through maybe you are sub conciously homophobic? just a thought.

Fair enough, i hear it a lot being used as such a derogatory term and i don't like it.

no its not like that at all. words change meaning all the time, and people around me changed it, so a lot of people say it.

people say it here a lot too, i got used to it to an extent but i won't say it myself, when i hear it i don't start saying it, i ask why they say it. I agree that based on your surroundings habbits like that can creep up on you but you notice what you say conciously so why is it not niped in the bud? I guess people think its ok to say it until its pointed out that its not and then i'm just not sure if they think at all.

some peopleknow they say it, but dont see a problem with it. some people mean what they say, and just hate gay people. or theyll say they dont "hate" them, but if they see two guys kiss theyre the first to shout EWWWWWW! Gay people still arent accepted by society, so until them theyre still discriminated

until the discrimination ceases to be they won't accepted, i know it won't cease all together but why do people perpetuate it for a cheap joke? Like you and your racist shit.

that black eyed peas song is amazing... okay so its not even remotely hardcore, but its a quite catchy tune, and it certainly represents all thats wrong with the world, stand together and ask... WHERE IS THE LOVE?
yea i feel better also....
