I got a broken one and I got a working one. So I would rather sell the broken one, get the cash for records rather than spending money to have it repaired

How much did you pay for the working one?

£58 in total.

Strangely enough it was on eBay, but I got lucky it was being sold by some guy in the UK who didn't advertise it on B9 or anything, usually they sell for £100+ so I got really lucky finding this one which was kept low key.

they're also collectible to more than just straight edge kids.

at the risk of sounding stupid, what makes these watches worth so much money? I have never actually seen one so that could be my problem, but just looking at the pictures I can't see why they would be worth like 250$ US.

the quality of the watch isn't worth $250 its just a collectable item so people are willing to pay.

Yeah I know that. The people I was bidding against were watch collectors, whereas if it had been advertised on B9 the price would have been atleast double and it would have been all hardcore kids bidding the higher ammounts.

The wrist strap is rubber, the casing is plastic. The quality of the watch certainly ain't the reason they sell for so much, like Ed says it is purely because they are highly collectable. The watch itself is older than me.

And the broken one?

Broken one I got from a dude in Canada. I can't remember how I actually got speaking to him? I think he emailed me about the zine then I added him to MSN and the subject came up and he said he was selling a broken one. I got it for $100 delivered, so around £50.

I just traded it back to another dude in Canada for:

The First Step - What We Know on pink /235
The First Step - What We Know on Blue w/alternate cover /250

+ $15

Probably lost out a little bit but I am quite happy with this.
