Fairly speaking, it's just like many other records. Yes, the music isn't a verbatim sound of some other band, but in general it's just the same.

My take, don't give it much attention.

I say old AFI! The new album does sound a bit like theyve lost themselves.. but I really wouldnt say it was a commercial pop punk release, theyve just been able to use alot more rescources to develop their sound, which is what they always aim to do. I like it :)

AFI definately wins, but new AFI, while not as original as their old stuff, still has the edge over anything that I've heard that's come out of this corperate shithole that's become mainstream "punk".

old and new AFI for me but now that afi is being played on mtv all the emo kids say they liked em before "miss murder" but i know thats a big lie. they dont even know the names of the record before decemberunderground...
