I found a new band which I think is quite good. Their name is Evil Robot Us'.(You pronounce it "evil robot usses") Anyway if you like stuff like ghost mice, defiance ohio, or This bike is a pipe bomb, they are worth a listen. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=19716719&Mytoken=20050802211502

Enjoy :)

now that Against me is big, bands like that evolve the earth but their music sucks anyway, and i can't see how is this related to punk at all.

It seems like folk punk is just askin for disaster - what happens at their shows when folk music lovin' hippies and hippie hatin' punks both show up? That's almost as bad as all of the twang-punk bands that are popular out here...

nah I've seen it happen at enough folk punk shows, they tend to get along.

oh by the way, since we're talking about folk punk, a very good folk punk band, defiance ohio, did a cover of "things we say" by gorilla biscuits. If you happen to have limewire or something it's worth a download.
