Should sXe really only be for the hardcore scene??

What do you think? I think that it should be with music alone , because if your straight egde and you like punk or hard rock...then technically you can't be straight-edge. I think straight edge should just mean you don't do any drugs , premartial sex and of course no smoking.

then what would make straight edge unique from everything else that is promoting drug free?

Why should it be all inclusive and lose what makes it viable and distinct?

Drug free is for every one. Straight edge is hardcore. if all the metal kids or whatever want to unify and create a scene, they can. It still won't be straight edge, but then at least we can stop having kids with no clue saying the are straight edge and killing 2 decades of hard work by thousands of passionate individuals.
