it's just a pic from a flyer and most flyer artwork is taken from other flyers and shit like that.. It's not like I took someones logo they spent weeks on for my own... Besides none of those bands are around to get permission nor could I see any of them having any objection.

Like the banner you see in the site header for hosting every so often.. don't you think that circle was just taken from somewhere else and altered a bit to fit there needs.. I mean you see that circle on a billion web hosts. I highly doubt they were the first web host to ever use it.

clipart is created expressly for the use of others. the point is that if you can't find the original artist to ask for the permission then you probably shouldn't. especially since it's essentially calvin anyway.

there are so many people that would create original stuff for you to use if you'd just ask and it'd be something unique and different rather than a retread.

i'm not forgetting anything. you have a site that is using an image for its logo that you really dont know anything about. how can you assume the artist wouldnt care? and what does being from the eastcoast have to do with anything, you're on the net, worldwide.

It ment back east when it was created, no one cared about copyright bullshit, everything was shared to help expand our scene. Nor do i think the image I am using was ever copywritten...

I only lived on the east coast back then, so I couldn't say about other areas fairly, but again I couldn't see kids from the west coast back then judged on attitudes of people like Tim from VD or the unity message behind bands like Uniform Choice, Chain or Insted caring either.

It's one fucking picture off a flyer from 15 years ago, It's not like anyone is using it today. Also like Dusty said, all it really is, is an altered Calvin and I will only be using it now as a temp solution.

Yes I agree. Karlo's wasn't really happy with it. But it really is the look and feel I'm trying to develope. I'm tired of kids thinking Good Charlotte and Slipknot (current) are hardcore. It's time to put hardcore back on the map =)

Ok instead of having to use the IP address. I now have connection files on the site.

http://www.hxcradio.com/128k.pls - This will open the stream in iTunes or WinAMP. It is at 128k, so it will not work on 56k dial-up

http://www.hxcradio.com/128k-fw.pls - Same as above, but this is for everyone that has an asshole boss or IT department at work or school and blocks Internet radio. It connects using port 80, just like a web browser would. Please only use this if you are behind a firewall and can't connect to the normal stream.
