Damn that was good! The Ennio Morricone soundtrack adds even more to it. My 84 year old dad digs it is well.

What's up with all these vulgar movies? I went to see a movie with my dad yesterday evening and in the few trailers before it, three of them were horrible and embarrassing. Dirty Grandpa was the worst, is "I'd rather let Queen Latifah shit in my mouth from a fucking hot air balloon." and "If you're gonna die while you're eating me out, I want your last breath to be in my pussy." that funny?
I can imagine that some people might find it funny when this stuff comes out of the mouth of a teddybear or that it happens once in a while, but it's nothing else but constant vulgar speech. Not that I'm so conservative but Ted sucked, Horrible Bosses sucked, Dumb And Dumber To sucked... and kids watch these movies.

Is this something from the last few years or has it always been like this?

i hear ya, I guess it's because shows like family guy and that sort of stuff, where they equate vulgarity, racism, sexism or just being mean to being funny. happens in tv too. so edgy.

Jungle Book was fun, great for kids and parents. It's been so long since I saw the old 'The Jungle Book' but maybe I liked this one even more, which is normally not the case.

Huntsman: Winter's War however was not so great, just another product of the Hollywood mill.

it was watchable. but they introduced deadshot 3 times. Jared Leto's joker was trying really hard to be a mix of Heath Ledgers and Jack Nicholson and it just came off as creepy. The transformed humans turned into fighting machines by an ancient being? The plot was stupid.

The Joker didn't bother me as I've never watched the Batman movies. I can agree on the plot, but the movie didn't feel as a waste of time. (unlike Independence Day 2)

the christian bale batman movies were legitimately good. the 89 batman was the modern foundation for everything that came after it. It didn't feel like a waste of time, I didn't walk out and regret seeing it. I'm hoping to see the hunt of the wilderpeople this weekend.

It can be a fun movie just for the suspense, but that's it.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children was great, I think kids will really like this a lot. Not that I'm crazy about it but the good movies are finally starting to come out. And Samuel L Jackson can really act in any movie he wants.

Not enough visitors at the theatre as well as in other theatres, we look at the numbers in all of Belgium to decide it. But this is a big Marvel movie so they can demand to play it for a fixed number of weeks etc, which is the case I see now. We're still playing it in the weekend, only at 22h30, when the number of visitors are always on the low side.

I just don't get sucked into these movies anymore. Although The Force Unleashed had me rolling my eyes almost non-stop, this one still feels like going to a fast food joint instead of a high class restaurant. There was a good vibe with the blind dude and the keepers of the crystal, but they didn't zoom in on that. Also, completely out of nowhere there are R2D2 and C3PO and then they were gone again. To me, this is keeping in the fanboys to get some money. It has a bad aftertaste and it stomps on everything Star Wars was for me as a kid (the original three).
