It's so great to see positive , clean living kids and old timers keeping in touch with and standing up for something they believe though many of our peers,most of the community and all the media push drugs, booze, and casual sex in our faces daily. BTW i shop mostly at Head Line Records in Los Angeles, they seem to have the most punk /sxe/hardcore under one roof than i have ever found here in the city but if anyone knows another local shop around LA or online that has good selection of various sxe , let me know. Head Line Records also has a pretty extensive online catalog....nothing Visually impressive but a good text resource nevertheless . The owner is a very cool French dude named John. He's old school punk w/mohawk and has the cutest 5 month old baby (the future gen sxe?).....whatev. http://www.headlinerecords.com

email this guy chadski@chadski.com and ask him. dude has thousands of records hardcore and otherwise and is local to LA. if anyone knows it'll be him. plus he's also a really nice guy.

i wasn't thinking this would be nessesarily a compiled list to be added on to. I was more interested in seeing what bands individual people here were into and thought were "The Greatest" and or their "Favorite"(that question, Greatest vs. Favorite alone could probably make it's own new thread) so listing your choices Even if they have been listed before by someone else was kinda the point. oh, i know what you had meant to begin with, but i wanted to add some that i like a lot that hadnt been listed. i didnt mean that i like and listen to all the bands previously listed, frankly there's a few listed a i really dislike. i just wanted to throw out a few i hadnt seen mentioned that i really liked.

im on a super slow computer, or i could get you links for all 3 bands to hear some mp3s. allegiance and xfilesx are bigger bands, you could probably find those easier than learn. i have a link somewhere for one of their songs, if i find it i'll post it. if dave would just come back and post, then he could get you it, seeing that he's in the band.

saight forward lyrics it makes it so much simpler there are enough bands where i have to analize the lyrics and you it is pretty generic but they stepped everything up alot on venndetta

there's a different between straight forward and generic and boring. throwdown is both. what's also amazingly funny is that you won't find a single mention of straight edge in their bio anymore.

whether they are aren't isn't relevant, what is is the fact that used it as a stepping stone and when it became a hinderance they dropped it from their bio. it isn't a coincidence that they're now at throwdowngo.com instead of xthrowdownx.com.

and all that shit aside, they've always sucked.
