Some HARE KRISHNA told me that straight edge came from HARE KRISHNA

he said that minor threat were inspired by the teachings of HARE KRISHNA. somthing about how to be enlightend by the absence of sex and intoxication.

just want to be told if this is TRUE / POSSIBLE / BOLLOCKS

he may of believed that this is true, wether it is or not.

but i've met this guy a lot and he has linked many things to HARE KRISHNA

Later on Cappo got involved with the whole Krishna deal, and there was that big heap of fun, but no edge did not come from krishna, and Minor Threat were not involved with the cult of krishna.

Hence shelter which is meant to be ray cappo doing the same kind of thing as YOT but in a krishna way and as a servent of krishna. Then you get the other bands that followed like 108 and they would preach at shows about how straightedge is a great starting point but you can take it further and make it mean something more by joining the whole krishna thing.
