No matter what you say, screamo is definitely a genre. I don't see how you could say that bands like Saetia, The Blood Brothers (at times), You and I, Hot Cross (shit, even Off Minor), and other bands of the like are anything different. Face it, screamo is a genre, and is good music (even though it's quickly becoming the 'trendy' thing... obscurity isn't a fashion). This isn't meant as a discussion piece or a spark for argument, it is my opinion, so deal with it.

1. it's not my scene

2. saetia sucks. so does hot cross.

you realise saetia is one of the most popular "screamo" bands out there right?

and i do like some bands like that. i really like pg. 99, dispensing of false halos, just to name a few.

Saetia suck. I know of a lot of people who are into shit like Taking Back Sunday, and they still manage to namedrop Saetia and Hot cross. Face it, Saetia are pretty big.

hardcore used to be hardcore.

it wasn't genrefied and compartmentalized and broken down into different teams with different uniforms. i hate the fact that when i say i listen to hardcore, people could confuse it with some of this stuff that has fallen under the umbrella of hardcore, but is really not remotely hardcore.

stage dives make me feel more alive then screamed out messages from white belt bands.
